1. What we collect

We collect the information you give us — name, email, city, language preference, and any profile, listing or review content — plus basic technical data (approximate location from your connection and standard server logs) needed to run the service and show you what’s happening near you. The data controller is abrazo.life.

2. How we use it & legal bases

We process your data to provide the platform — performance of our contract with you: showing local events and teachers, processing bookings and tickets, and sending transactional emails. We rely on our legitimate interest to keep the service safe, prevent fraud and improve it. Optional emails about new features or your city launching are sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Reviews & anonymity

Reviews are shown anonymously as coming from a “verified user”. We do not display your name alongside a review to other users.

4. Sharing, processors & transfers

We don’t sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with processors that help us operate: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and our hosting and database infrastructure. They act on our instructions under data-processing agreements. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, rectify, erase or port your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent for optional emails at any time. You can remove reviews you’ve written from your dashboard. To exercise any right, contact us; we respond within one month, extendable by up to two further months for complex requests (we’ll tell you if we need it). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

6. Retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes; after that we delete or anonymise it. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it.

7. Contact

Questions about your privacy, or a request about your data? Reach us through the contact page and we’ll help.

8. Google Calendar (optional)

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar (teachers only), we access your free/busy times, create and update calendar events for your confirmed lessons, and read the list of your calendars so you can pick which one to sync. We use this data solely to provide that scheduling feature — never for advertising, and never to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models. abrazo.life’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data or transfer it to third parties. Your Google access tokens are stored encrypted and are deleted when you disconnect your calendar or delete your account; you can disconnect at any time from your teacher dashboard.

9. Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your account and personal data yourself at any time: log in, open your Dashboard and use “Account deletion”. This immediately and permanently removes your personal data — name, email, photo, address and any teacher, organizer or DJ profile — and signs you out. Some records tied to past transactions may be kept where the law requires, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You can also contact us and we’ll delete your data for you.
